1. Please join us for lunch following today's service to celebrate the 161 st anniversary of Dorchester United Church.
2. FOOD BANK DONATIONS are welcome on any Sunday.
3. THIS SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22, we are asked to pray for the
mission and ministry of Riverside United Church, and for the well-being,
compassion, strength, and joy of Rev. David Exley. Thank you for your
participation in this ministry.
4. ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29, Jean Davis will join us to talk
about her work with the Dorchester Food Bank. This is just one aspect of
community outreach about which she and her husband Bob are truly
passionate.
5. There are many events; entertainment, fund raisers, women's retreats,
personal uplifting, Mission & Outreach 'Journey to Reconciliation', and
spiritual uplifting events to help you understand the changes occurring in
this fantastic United Church of ours. Take some time, look at the bulletin
board at the east (parking lot) entrance, and ask questions if you need to.

6. Reynolds Creek Games Night - November 3rd at 7 pm
7. Mary Dillon from Reynolds Creek United is facilitating a 6 week book
study "Making Sense of the Bible: Discovering the Power of Scripture
Today". The first session was on October 11 at 2:00 p.m. Folks from
Dorchester are welcome to attend. Cost of the book is $18.80. For further

8. Camp Kee-Mo-Kee is looking for a part time Fundraising Administrator for
approximately 12 months to help manage our upcoming capital campaign. For

DISASTER.
The United Church of Canada has membership in the global ACT ALLIANCE who
are organized to assist people affected by Hurricane Irma.
ACT members are organized in various regional & national forums
(including Dominican Republic, Haiti, & Cuba) working quickly with
evacuations and emergency shelter where necessary and plan for post-storm
responses.
The United Church of Canada is accepting donations for these efforts. If
