UPCOMING EVENTS

The Annual Meeting of Dorchester United Church will be held on Sunday, February 4th with lunch to follow. The format will follow last year's meeting - a shortened service followed immediately by the Annual Meeting. We will be electing a Vice-Chair for the Board, 2 Trustees, 2 members for Ministry and Personnel Committee, 2 members for Mission & Services, 1 member for Finance Committee and 1 member for Worship. These positions must be filled to ensure effective succession planning. Please plan to attend. Lunch is following the service. We ask that the congregation withlast names from A-L bring squares, M-Z to bring sandwiches. Come and enjoy the lunch and fellowship following our meeting.

1. Please join us for a time of refreshments and fellowship in the lower level of the sanctuary following the service.
2. FOOD BANK DONATIONS are welcome on any Sunday.
3. TO ARRANGE A RIDE FOR SUNDAY, OR FOR ANY CHURCH EVENT, CALL CATHY AT 519-461-1679.
4. THIS SUNDAY, JANUARY 14, we are asked to pray for the mission and ministry of Wardsville United Church, and for the well-being, compassion, strength, and joy of Rev. Richard Golden and all others involved in ministry leadership at these churches. Thank you for your participation in this ministry.
5. Please pick up your 2018 Envelopes on table at rear of sanctuary.

7. MEMBERSHIP SUNDAY - March 11th. Please see Carol Reid if you wish to join the church or transfer your membership from another church.
8. Keep collecting those Pop cans - They can be dropped off at the church or at Ernie Reid's in the car port (4356 Hamilton Road, - green bin)
9. Thank you for saving the plastic sleeves from your "junk mail". They are put to good use at the London Food Bank and may be placed in a small basket on the window ledge at the back of the sanctuary or you may give them to any church member.

ANNUAL REPORT REMINDER
All reports and messages for the 2017 Annual Report must be emailed or delivered to the Church office during the week of January 15th. It would be very helpful if all reports could be in the same format and font - Arial, size 12. The Annual Meeting will follow the Service on February 4th. Reports will be distributed to the Congregation on January 28th.
