Dorchester United Church

SUNDAY, AUGUST 26, 2018 : Rev. Art, Rev. Larry and the Worship Committee are planning an ecumenical church service here at Dorchester United. We are inviting the Rajeh family and the congregations of Belmont United, Harrietsille-Mossley Pastoral Charge and St. Andrews Westminster to join us along with Reynolds Creek and St. John's United. Please join us for a Potluck Lunch after the 10:00 am service. Beverages, rolls, and butter will be provided.

Announcements August 19, 2018

  1. Please join us for a time of refreshments and fellowship in the lower level of the sanctuary following the service.
  2. The Board and the M&P Committee are actively working to fill the Ministerial Leadership gap that is a result of Rev. Larry's indefinite leave from his work in our church. We have received permission from Presbytery and London Conference to fill this position for an extended period of time. We will actively keep the congregation updated throughout the selection and approval process. If you have questions, please feel free to speak with any member of the Board or M&P Committee. Please continue to keep Rev. Larry & Gwen in your prayers as well as those who are responsible for this recruitment work.
  3. THIS SUNDAY, AUGUST 19TH, we are asked to pray for the mission and ministry of Riverside United Church. Also, we pray for the well-being, compassion, strength, and joy of Rev. David Exley, Marilyn Arthur and all those involved in ministry leadership at this pastoral charge.

  5. KEEP COLLECTING THOSE POP CANS - They can be dropped off at the church or at Ernie Reid's in the car port (4356 Hamilton Road, - green bin).
  6. THE CANADIAN FOODGRAINS BANK GOOD NEIGHBOUR PROJECT PIG ROAST will be at Brown's United Church on August 19th. Entertainment at 5:30 and Supper at 6:00. Please bring a salad or dessert, dishes and a lawn chair. Donation jar will be available.
