THERE WILL BE A BRIEF CONGREGATIONAL MEETING FOLLOWING THE MORNING SERVICE ON SEPTEMBER 16TH to approve the updated Governance Manual for Dorchester United Church. A few copies of the Manual are available at the back of Sanctuary. Please return these as soon as possible so that others may read them.

1. Please join us for a time of refreshments and fellowship in the lower level of the sanctuary following the service.
2. THE FIRST FALL MEETING OF THE UCW IS BEING HELD ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH AT 7.30 PM AT THE CHURCH . We invite everyone to come out to share our plans and ideas for the next few months. We have exciting events to discuss and even a few surprises coming along this fall. Looking forward to seeing you all.
3. THIS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND, we are asked to pray for the mission and ministry of Siloam United Church. Also, we pray for the well-being, compassion, strength, and joy of Rev. Dr. Sheila Macgregor and all those involved in ministry leadership at this pastoral charge.

4. KEEP COLLECTING THOSE POP CANS - They can be dropped off at the church or at Ernie Reid's in the car port (4356 Hamilton Road, - green bin).
5. HOLY DINER BBQ Update: The Visioning Working Group is very grateful for all of the community support we have received for our outreach project this summer. Thursday, August 16th was the last day for our BBQ. Thank you to all who brought cookies, worked at the BBQ and joined us for their Thursday night suppers. Our awesome teams cooked and served approximately 516 burgers, 168 hotdogs and 150 sausages. We hope everyone enjoyed a chance to catch up on summer happenings with friends and neighbours. We are pleased to announce that our church will be donating an additional $38.95 to make a donation of $2466.25 to the local food bank in Dorchester.
