THERE WILL BE A BRIEF CONGREGATIONAL MEETING FOLLOWING THE SERVICE to approve the updated Governance Manual for Dorchester United Church. A few copies of the Manual are available at the back of Sanctuary. Please return these as soon as possible so that others may read them. Draft copies of the Governance and Operational Manuals are also on our Website - dorchesterunitedchurch.ca.

Announcements September 16, 2018

1. Please join us for a time of refreshments and fellowship in the lower level of the sanctuary following the service.
2. We are pleased to welcome Gabrielle Baerg as our Pulpit Supply for Sundays Sept. 9 and Sept. 16. Gabrielle is a Candidate for Ordered Ministry who comes highly recommended by London Conference. She provided pulpit supply all summer at Fairmont United Church and has just concluded her work as Youth Minister at Metropolitan UC in order to complete her studies towards a Master of Divinity.
3. THIS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16TH, we are asked to pray for the mission and ministry of Wesley-Knox United Church in London. Also, we pray for the well-being, compassion, strength, and joy of Rev. Tracy Crick-Butler and all those involved in ministry leadership at this pastoral charge. Thank you for participating in this prayer ministry.
4.CAMP KEE-MO-KEE would like to thank all of the churches in MIddlesex Presbytery for their support this year. We had another fantastic summer with record attendance - 92% !!! We also thank all of the youth groups for coming out to enjoy the camp. We have one last event: Out and Loud 2018 on Saturday Sept 22, 2018. This is for high school students in the LGBTQ2+ community. Please spread the word - it should be a fun day. Registration is through www.keemokee.com
5. Please join us at Riverside United Church, 695 Riverside Drive, Friday, October 19 at 7pm. Doors open at 6:30. Frankie and the Fairlanes present 'Good Rockin Tonight'. The new show for 2018 that features the greatest hits of the 50's, 60's and 70's. Purchase Advance Tickets, or At the Door: Adult $20, Kids 6-12 $10, and Kids under 5 free. 6. GREETERS NEEDED: Please sign up on the list at the back of the church to be Greeters and take up collection.
7. WEDNESDAY MORNING COFFEE: Every Wednesday 10 am. Come and catch up on the news, be a taste tester of the baking and have many laughs. Everyone is welcome.
8. KEEP COLLECTING THOSE POP CANS - They can be dropped off at the church or at Ernie Reid's in the car port. (4356 Hamilton Road, - green bin).
