LEADING IN WORSHIP
Announcements December 16, 2018 1. Please join us for a time of refreshments and fellowship in the lower level of the sanctuary following the service. 2. WEDNESDAY MORNING COFFEE : Every Wednesday 10 am. Come and catch up on the news, be a taste tester of the baking and have many laughs. Everyone is welcome. 3. THIS SUNDAY, DECEMBER 16th, we give thanks for the wealth of resources our Church has as a denomination, and we pray for those who give so freely of their time and talents. Thank you for taking part in this prayer ministry. 4. PASTORAL CARE - we have been very fortunate to benefit from the support of Rev. Dr. Art Hiley from March until the present. He has worked diligently with our church community, visiting those who cannot travel to Sunday services, the sick, the grieving and those in need of moral (and technical) support to maintain momentum in our church's life. Pastor Art, we extend our heartfelt thanks for helping us through this transition. Gabrielle and the Visioning Working Group will be working together to determine best practices for ongoing pastoral care. 5. THANK YOU to Marion Woods and Carol Reid for all the Christmas decorations in the Church. Thanks also to Ernie Reid, Bob MacMillan, and Wayne Coatsworth for assembling the Manger Scene outside. 6. ANOTHER COLLECTION OF POP CANS were recycled and $53.45 was turned over to the church. It can be pop cans, juice cans, washed meals on wheels foil containers and the pop tabs are turned over to the wheel chair program. Many thanks. Ernie 7. OFFERING ENVELOPES FOR 2019 are ready for pick up at the back of the sanctuary. Please read the message from the Finance and Stewardship Committee inserted at the front of the envelope box.
