Please join us for a time of refreshments and fellowship in the lower level of the sanctuary following the service.

1. WEDNESDAY MORNING COFFEE: Every Wednesday, at 10 am. Come and catch up on the news, be a taste tester of the baking and have many laughs. Everyone is welcome.
2. PLEASE CONSIDER SIGNING UP TO GREET on a Sunday morning on the clipboard at the rear of the church. You are helping to make our congregation feel welcome to our worship service. Thank you.
3. REFRESHMENTS FOLLOWING SUNDAY SERVICE: Thank you to all of our volunteers for making this time of fellowship extra special with coffee and treats. We need 2 more helpers for the month of October and 2 more for December. If you are able, please speak to Cathy or sign up on the sheet where coffee is served. Thank you!
4. MIDDLESEX PRESBYTERIAL UCW IS AGAIN HAVING THE FALL EVENT @ White Oaks United Church on Saturday, October 20, 2019. Registration at 9:00 A.M. Come & enjoy fellowship, music & fun along with a great speaker. Bring reusable bags filled with personal items for women & children. A suggested list is available here in the church for your convenience. You are welcome to bring your donation here to the church & place into the assigned box before the above date. OBITUARY FOR REV. GORDON PIKELL

The Reverend Gordon Pickell of Sarnia, and formerly of Goderich, passed away peacefully at Twin Lakes Terrace in Sarnia on Friday September 20, 2019 at the age of 102, surrounded by his family. Gordon was an ordained minister in the United Church of Canada for over 70 years, serving churches in Wawa, Thessalon, Dorchester, Crumlin, Sarnia and Windsor. After Gordon retired in 1982, he continued to be a supply minister at various churches throughout Huron, Bruce and Perth Counties until he turned 80. Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon. The Memorial Service will immediately follow at the Funeral Home at 12:30 pm. Interment will be held at a later date in Pond Mills Cemetery, London. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Inn of the Good Shepherd in Sarnia, St. Joseph's Hospice of Sarnia-Lambton or the United Church of Canada - Mission and Service Fund would be appreciated (cheques only at the funeral home please).
