Minister, Dorchester United Church

Rev. Dr. Tracy Crick Butler

Tracy began her ministry with Dorchester United Church in May 2026. Her ministry is shaped by a deep love of preaching, a commitment to building strong and compassionate communities, and a desire to help people recognize God’s presence in the rhythms of everyday life. She looks to the future of the Church with hope, recognizing that God may be calling us to explore how we can be the Church in ways outside our buildings.

Tracy was born and raised in London, Ontario. She graduated from King’s College with a Bachelor of Social Work and went on to complete both her Master of Divinity and Master in Pastoral Studies at Emmanuel College. Tracy was ordained by the United Church of Canada in 1996 and has served congregations across Huron-Perth, Middlesex, London and Oxford counties.

As a life-long learner, Tracy pursued further academic study, earning her Doctorate in Biblical Preaching and a Master of Social Work. She now maintains a part-time private counselling practice alongside her congregational ministry.

Tracy brings a joyful spirit to her work – she loves to laugh, freely admits that her office is rarely tidy, and is known for being a thoughtful and attentive listener.
