DORCHESTER UNITED CHURCH NEWSLETTER
SEPTEMBER 2016
We hope that everyone has had a safe, restful and relaxing summer, and we
look forward to seeing everyone again as we begin our fall services! There
have been and continue to be so many projects and events going on at the
church, and we wanted to let you know about what's coming up in the next
few months. We have enjoyed having so many people out and guests from
Reynolds Creek during our August services, and want to keep this positive
momentum going as we explore new ways to worship God and to live out our
lives as faithful Christian servants. Please read the list of upcoming
events below - we hope to have especially good turn-outs for Sept 9, 11,
and Oct 9 & 23!

FROM MARY KAISER, BOARD CHAIR
On behalf of the Board of Dorchester United Church it is my pleasure to
WELCOME, you, THE CONGREGATION BACK TO CHURCH. Over the summer the Property
Committee has supervised and worked hard on completing the new eves troughs
on the East side, the front steps and the gardens with
a little help from Carol. These people have worked hard to beautify the
church so please have a look around. The steps and the cushions will be
dedicated on September 25th. We are very appreciative to those who have
made contributions to these projects. There will be many exciting church
activities this fall. You will find them all within the newsletter. The
Choir will be back thrilling us with their usual musical ability through
the fall with the help of Kathleen. We have missed them over the summer
months.
As we move forward remember to introduce yourself to those you do not know
within the church, shake hands and say hello to those who have been absent
over the summer and thank God for our faithful choir and especially our
loving and caring minister, Larry whose leadership we could not be without.
