CALL TO WORSHIP:

The peace of the living God has come to rest upon our busy lives.
We will find that peace as we learn the quiet of prayer.
The love of God will flow through our worship that we may find new opportunities for service.
The grace of God will seek out our every need.
May the restless gospel set our hearts on fire.

OPENING PRAYER
Send Your Spirit upon us, faithful God. Fill us with the mind of Christ. Unite us in the joy that was Yours in creation. May we look not only to our own well-being, but to the welfare of others. Crown this day with Your loving kindness for we seek to serve You as those who know the sacrifice of our gracious Friend and Saviour Jesus who taught us to pray together saying the LORDS PRAYER.

TIME WITH THE CHILDREN

SERVICE OF LIGHTING THE CANDLE

The coming of light was a sign to Creation.
God will never again leave us in darkness.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Forgive our lack of faith that fills each day with tension and worry. Forgive our lack of love that fills our days with anger and hate. Forgive our lack of hope that clouds our future with despair and anxiety. We pray in the name of Jesus who fills us with new life.
