God is made known to us in creation, in the vast geography of this land, in
the pioneers of our faith. In our country today, we see many faces and hear
many languages spoken. We gather as a community to reflect on our past as a
people. We offer thanks for the challenges that have helped to shape our
lives. Show us how the lessons of the past can make us into people with a
vision. Awaken us to the new life that awaits us. In the name of Jesus who

from You. We struggle to stay on the path of true faith. Show us how to
face the hard truths of life, the ones we shrink from daily. Usher us into
Your forgiving presence that we may find the grace and the peace to live as
those who have been forgiven. AMEN
