For all believers, witnesses to hope; make your face shine upon us.
For all who give their life because of Christ and the Gospel; in them lives
your praise forever.
For all you have entrusted to us, in them lives your praise forever.
OPENING PRAYER
(in unison)
Christ, Saviour of every life, you come to us always. Welcoming you in the
peace of our nights, in the silence of our days, in the beauty of creation,
in the hours of intense struggle, welcoming you means knowing that you will
be with us in every situation that we face. Amen.
We continue to pray with the words that Jesus taught us to pray,

Send us love, send us power, send us grace.
WE RESPOND TO GOD'S WORD IN FAITH AND ACTION
PASTORAL PRAYER:
OFFERING INVITATION:
Christ, by your Spirit, you come and kindle a burning light in us. We
know well that it is not we who create this source of light but you,
the Risen Christ. We take the risk of following you and accompanying,
in our turn, those whom you entrust to us.
OFFERTORY RESPONSE:
Grant us, God, the grace of giving, with a spirit large and free, that
ourselves and all our living we may offer faithfully. V.U. 540
OFFERTORY PRAYER: O Christ, you take upon yourself all our burdens so
that we can constantly begin anew to walk with lightened step from our
own will towards your coming Kingdom. And through us, though we hardly
dare to hope it, you offer to make every human being a reflection of
your face.
Amen.
HYMN:
"Love Is The Touch" M.V. 89
COMMISSIONING:
We have opened our hearts to God's Spirit in this Pentecost Season. As you
go from this place, let your breath give life to others and to all of God's
creation. Let God's Spirit breathe into you with goodness and breathe out
of you in love. With your every breath and with the breath of all that
lives, give praise to God. Amen. (Robin Wardlaw, Glen Rhodes U.C., Toronto)
