Thanksgiving is more than just a day.
It is more than just a season.
It is a way of living.
It is a promise of God's newness.
As we come into this worship space,
We offer our thanks to God and to one another. We say thank you to the Creator and to all of creation.
OPENING PRAYER (IN UNISON)
God, we are overwhelmed by Your great mercy. You have named us members of
Your world-wide family. You fill us with an endless stream of love. Your
light sweeps over us and illumines us. Your gifts are vast and varied. May
we open our hearts to receive them. We are grateful for the myriad ways in
which the treasure of Your love has been poured out for us. In the Name of
Jesus who taught us to pray . . . AMEN

PRAYER OF CONFESSION (IN UNISON)
Generous God, our lives are rich with Your bounty. We take all You give as
due to us without showing any appreciation. Like ten lepers cleansed and
healed, only one of us returns, only one comes back to offer thanks. We
confess that we are among the nine who fail to acknowledge the gift. Blind
to Your grace, we follow a path that leads away from You. In your great
mercy, forgive us and lead us back to You. AMEN
WORDS OF ASSURANCE
A grace so rich cannot be fathomed. It can only be received with great joy.
It cannot be earned. In Christ our Saviour, we have been freed to accept
God's forgiving love.
