WE GATHER TO PRAISE GOD
MUSIC PRELUDE:
(A time for quiet reflection and preparation for worship)
HYMN:
"Come And Find The Quiet Centre" V.U. 374
WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
CALL TO WORSHIP:
O sing a new song to the Lord; for the wonders he has wrought.
For the victory his hand has gained, his holiness of power.
The Lord has shown that he will save,
In the sight of the nations, he reveals his power.
We are ever mindful of his kindness and truth for the people he loves.
Sing praises to God with the harp, with instruments and with songs.
Let us worship our God.
We will praise God as long as we live.
OPENING PRAYER
(in unison) Although we each have our own wounds, Lord Christ, above all
there is the miracle of your mysterious presence. In this, our hearts and
minds are made lighter or even set free and we go forward with you from one
discovery to another. Amen.
We continue to pray with the words that Jesus taught us to pray,
singing together:
THE LORD'S PRAYER
(V.U. 960)
HYMN:
"Deep In Our Hearts" M.V. 154
TIME WITH THE CHILDREN:
SERVICE OF LIGHTING THE CANDLE:
Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
Jesus is our friend who loves us always.
ANTHEM:
WE HEAR GOD'S LOVING WORD FOR US
PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION:
As we join together in worship, open us to your call for each of us. Then
send us out into the world to show by word and deed your everlasting love.

WE RESPOND TO GOD'S WORD IN FAITH AND ACTION
PASTORAL PRAYER:
OFFERING INVITATION:
We who have received so much now give a portion in return, to mend broken
hearts and bodies, to bring hope and grace into the lives of those in need.
Let us present our gifts with glad hearts.
OFFERTORY RESPONSE:
Grant us, God, the grace of giving, with a spirit large and free, that
ourselves and all our living we may offer faithfully. V.U. 540
OFFERTORY PRAYER: These gifts are given freely, from our hearts and our
labours. Bless these gifts so that they may be multiplied in love for a
hurting and divided world.
Amen.
HYMN:
"Though I May Speak" V.U. 372
COMMISSIONING:
We have opened our hearts to God's Spirit in this Pentecost Season. As you
go from this place, let your breath give life to others and to all of God's
creation. Let God's Spirit breathe into you with goodness and breathe out
of you in love. With your every breath and with the breath of all that
lives, give praise to God. Amen.
